FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lamar Partnership Inc. (LPI) was established in 2010 as a Colorado Main Street Program managed and funded by the City of Lamar. LPI focuses on making lasting changes in the downtown Lamar area by leveraging partnerships and historic assets, promoting economic opportunities and encouraging community connections.
As a National Main Street Accredited Program, Lamar Partnership, Inc. achieved “Graduate” status as a Colorado Main Street Community. LPI was recognized as the Colorado Main Street Program of the year for 2014. The success with our Main Street Program can be attributed to closely aligning our activities with guidance provided by the Department of Local Affairs Main Street Program staff, visionary City of Lamar staff and administrators, and, of course the commitment of the LPI Board of Directors.
With great excitement we would like to formally announce the change of Lamar Partnership Inc. officially doing business as Main Street Lamar. Our goal with changing the name is to help community members connect with Lamar Main Street, providing a clearer understanding of its role and the positive impacts it has on the growth and development of our City and local organizations.
The Lamar Partnership Inc., dba Main Street Lamar, Board of Directors has significantly grown in numbers in the past couple of months adding 4 new members, bring their total to 10 Board members.

Local artist, Leandra Chavez, designed the banners. The City of Lamar’s Public Works Department installed the banners on the main street light poles.
